From the Field: Summer 2026 Issue

As more operators call themselves luxury, our CEO explains what the word should actually mean in Lapland, and why delivery on the ground matters more than a polished website.

High-end and luxury travel in Lapland is on the rise. More clients know the destination exists, and they are choosing it deliberately. The Arctic Circle is no longer a curiosity. It is a serious option for travellers who want something genuinely different from their usual winter trip.

This is good news for all of us. It also brings a problem.

The region is going through a wave of investment. New resorts, new hotels, new suppliers, all positioning themselves as luxury. Everyone uses the word. Everyone has the panoramic windows and the polished website. Most of the content now reads the same because most of it is written by the same tools.

The question that matters is who can actually deliver. Who checks the service on the ground. Who knows which provider performs in week 52 and which one only looks good in a brochure. Who has the relationships to fix a problem at 9pm on a Saturday.

Luxury in Lapland is not the view from the window. It is meeting the client where they are. It is keeping the service standard consistent across three or four providers in a single trip. It is designing an itinerary that surprises the client on day four, not just on day one. It is giving the client the calm of knowing the trip is in capable hands, and the freedom to shape it as they go.

That is the work. We are here to help you deliver it.

When your client expects a seamless program and you need fast, reliable delivery behind it, our travel design team is ready to look at it with you.
