The Fjellheisen Cable Car takes you from Tromsdalen up to Storsteinen in about four minutes, climbing to 421 meters above sea level as the view opens over Tromsø, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. Once at the top, you can stay as long as you like within opening hours, whether you want to enjoy the panorama, take photos, or sit down at Fjellstua. It is one of the simplest ways to experience Tromsø from above, without needing a hike.

The cable car departs from the lower station in Tromsdalen, which is reachable from Tromsø city center by foot, bus, or shuttle. The ride is smooth and short, and the gondolas run regularly throughout the day. At the upper station, the visit remains flexible, so you can decide for yourself whether to stay briefly for the view or spend more time enjoying the setting.

Because the lower station is currently under redevelopment, private cars cannot park there and wheelchair access is not available at the moment.
