Arctic Skylight Lodge

Arctic Skylight Lodge is a small, design-led property set in a quiet river valley a few kilometres from Äkäslompolo, near Ylläs. It offers ten glass cabins with panoramic views of the surrounding forest and Pallas-Ylläs National Park, a glass-walled restaurant, and a lakeside sauna with jacuzzi.

Arctic Skylight Lodge sits in a peaceful valley close to the village of Äkäslompolo, on the northern side of Ylläs and within easy reach of Pallas-Ylläs National Park. The ten glass cabins are spread across a wooded hillside overlooking the Kukaslompolo river valley, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass ceiling offering unobstructed views of the forest, night sky, and northern lights in winter. Inside, the cabins are warm and comfortable, with a king-size bed, armchairs, shower and toilet, floor heating, and air conditioning for year-round use. Breakfast is included with every stay.

The glass-walled restaurant in the main building serves a three-course dinner menu based on seasonal and local ingredients, with dishes combining Lappish produce with broader European influences. The bar offers Finnish specialities alongside hot and cold drinks. Down by the lake, the sauna features glass walls facing the water and can be booked privately, with an outdoor jacuzzi available alongside. The property is open throughout the year, with the surrounding forests, river, and fells offering easy access to nature in every season.
