Invisible Forest Lodge – Private Suites and Aurora Huts near Rovaniemi
Invisible Forest Lodge is a secluded forest retreat ten minutes from Rovaniemi, offering mirrored Invisible Suites, floating Aurora Huts, and a traditional Log Cabin, each with a private sauna and hot tub.
Invisible Forest Lodge sits in the Arctic forest just ten minutes from Rovaniemi town centre. The Invisible Suite is a 40 m² mirrored glass cabin that blends into the surrounding trees, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a private sauna, an outdoor hot tub on its own forest terrace, a full kitchen, and space for up to four guests. The Log Cabin offers a more traditional Lappish stay, built from hand-carved silver pine, with the same capacity for four guests, a private sauna, an outdoor hot tub, and a terrace overlooking the forest and river. Both accommodation types are pet-friendly. For a different style of stay, the Aurora Hut is a compact glass igloo with a panoramic ceiling for sky and northern lights viewing, available in a forest or riverside setting depending on the season. Across the property, an adults-only policy applies from November through mid-March, with families welcome for the rest of the year.
Dining is centred on the on-site restaurant, which offers three distinct experiences: a fine dining menu by chef Matias Haapsaari, a 2024 IKA Culinary Olympics gold medallist; an interactive Hot Rock Grill, where premium cuts are cooked tableside on a heated volcanic stone; and a private Aurora Igloo dinner featuring traditional Lappish cuisine for small groups. The signature Bathrobe Dinner lets guests move directly from the spa to dinner while still in their robes, staying relaxed from spa to table. The Arctic Forest Spa itself includes a glass-walled sauna with panoramic forest views, several outdoor hot tubs, and a fireplace lounge, and is open to both lodge guests and outside visitors.
