Halo Igloos
Halo Igloos is a glass igloo resort set in a private forest 18 minutes north of Rovaniemi, offering Hillside and Riverside igloos with private saunas and outdoor jacuzzis, breakfast and dinner included, and open skies well suited for northern lights viewing.
Halo Igloos sits just north of the Arctic Circle, 18 minutes from Rovaniemi and 12 minutes from Santa Claus Village, in a quiet forest setting with minimal light pollution. The resort has 26 glass igloos across two types. The Hillside Igloos are 21 m² retreats for two adults, with a queen-size bed facing the forest, a heated glass roof for sky and aurora viewing, a private indoor sauna, and an outdoor jacuzzi. The Riverside Igloos are set along the Vikaköngäs River at 23.5 m², with the same layout and additional sleeping space for one to two children, and views of either the river or the surrounding forest. Both types include a kitchenette, smart TV, radiant floor heating, EV charging, and free parking next to each igloo.
Breakfast and dinner buffets are included with every stay, served in Restaurant Aurora using seasonal local ingredients. On selected evenings, meals and open-fire snacks are also available in the Reindeer Hut, and a lounge with a fireplace is open throughout the day. Snowshoes are included for independent exploration of the forest trails, and the resort's team provides guidance on local experiences. A free daily shuttle connects the resort to Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village. Between November and April, guests can also visit the on-site reindeer enclosure, home to three resident reindeer.
