Aurora Village Ivalo
Aurora Village Ivalo is a glass-roof cabin resort in Finnish Lapland, located near Ivalo, offering year-round accommodation with panoramic views of the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer. It offers four cabin types, an on-site restaurant, and sauna facilities set in a peaceful forest setting.
Aurora Village Ivalo offers four accommodation types, all featuring laser-heated glass roofs that keep the view clear of snow in winter. The Glass Igloo Cabins are the core offering, sleeping up to four with twin or double bed configuration, private shower, climate control, and Rituals toiletries. The Aurora Suite expands on this with two separate glass-roof bedrooms on one level, an electric fireplace, and a dining area, making it well suited to families or small groups of up to six. The Aurora Tower takes a different approach with a two-level layout, the glass-roof bedroom on the upper loft and a lounge with sofa bed and mini kitchen below. The Aurora Tower Suite is the largest option, spanning two floors with two glass-roof bedrooms, a full kitchen, fireplace, and space for up to six guests.
The on-site restaurant serves a daily changing three-course dinner included in most room rates during the northern lights season from September to April, with vegetarian and vegan options available each evening. Breakfast is included year-round, and lunch is available for an additional charge in winter. Two private sauna options can be booked separately: the Panorama Sauna with a glass roof and outdoor jacuzzi, and the traditional wood-heated barrel sauna by the river with an ice-swimming hole in winter. Both are available as private bookings throughout the year.
