Isbreen The Glacier takes its name from the Øksfjordjøkel glacier nearby, the only place on mainland Europe where a glacier reaches the sea. Its five geodesic domes rise from the boreal forest above the Arctic Circle, overlooking the Jøkelfjord. This three-night stay is in an igloo with a private terrace, jacuzzi, and transparent ceiling, in an area where the northern lights appear 200 nights a year on average. Days bring a private snowshoe hike, wilderness skiing, and a fjord safari for whales, all-inclusive with a private chef.

You'll land in Tromsø and transfer to Isbreen The Glacier, set in the boreal forest above the Jøkelfjord. Check into your igloo, with its private terrace, outdoor jacuzzi, and panoramic views over the water. Dinner is served in the main dining room as part of your all-inclusive full board stay, a three-course menu built around seasonal, locally inspired ingredients.

From the Trees to the Fjord

The morning takes you on a private guided snowshoe hike through untouched forest and snowy valleys, with a stop at a wilderness hut for a hot drink and a light meal along the way, and stories from your guide throughout. In the afternoon, a private fjord safari heads out in search of orcas, humpback whales, and fin whales, with snacks and refreshments included. Dinner follows back at the property, with a chance to see the northern lights directly from the igloo on a clear night.

Into the Mountains

A private wilderness skiing outing takes you into the Arctic mountains, with the format shaped around your preference and ability, whether backcountry skiing, ski touring, or cross-country. All equipment, transfers, and refreshments are included. The afternoon is free to enjoy the igloo's private jacuzzi before a final dinner, with another chance to watch for the aurora from the property.
