Isbreen The Glacier takes its name from the Øksfjordjøkel glacier nearby, the only place on mainland Europe where a glacier reaches the sea, and its five geodesic domes rise quietly from the boreal forest above the Arctic Circle, looking out over the Jøkelfjord and surrounding mountains. This three-night, four-day itinerary stays in one of the property's igloos, each with a private terrace, outdoor jacuzzi, and transparent ceiling for watching the sky, in an area where the northern lights appear on average 200 nights a year. The days are given over to guided Arctic experiences at a relaxed pace: a private snowshoe hike through untouched forest, a private wilderness skiing outing suited to your level, whether backcountry, ski touring, or cross-country, and a private fjord safari in search of orcas, humpback whales, and fin whales. Everything is fully all-inclusive, from the daily guided activities to the social dining experience with a private chef. A quiet, design-led retreat built around stillness and connection to nature, and a fitting choice for a honeymoon among other occasions.
