Into the Silence by Dog Sled

You'll land in Kiruna and transfer to the Fjellborg Homestead in Poikkijärvi, where warm snacks and a briefing prepare you for the journey ahead. From there, a private dog sled carries you the final stretch to Fjellborg Arctic Lodge on the shore of Lake Väkkärä, an hour's journey through untouched wilderness with the option to drive your own team. On arrival, you have exclusive use of the Master Cabin, with its lakeside sauna and views from every bedroom. Dinner is prepared by the lodge's chef, drawing on locally sourced fish, game, and berries in a style rooted in Lappish cuisine.

Beneath the Ice

The morning is spent on a private ice fishing outing on the frozen lake, a quiet and focused way to start the day. In the afternoon, a private husky safari of three to four hours takes you deeper into the surrounding forest, with an outdoor lunch included along the trail. Dinner at the lodge closes the day, prepared once again by the private chef.

On Foot, Then by Engine

Strap on your snowshoes for a private morning trek through the snow-covered wilderness around the lodge, with snacks included along the way. In the afternoon, a private snowmobile tour of three to four hours covers more ground, with an outdoor lunch cooked along the route. The evening brings another private dinner at the lodge.

South Toward Jokkmokk

The morning begins with a snowmobile ride back to the Homestead, the meeting point for your onward transfer to Jokkmokk. On arrival, your host welcomes you to a traditional Sami guest house, where the introduction to Sami culture and hospitality begins immediately. In the evening, dinner is served at a laavu, the traditional open-sided shelter still used across the region for gathering around a fire.

A Day Among the Herd

The full day is spent at a reindeer farm with a Sami herder, working and learning alongside them rather than simply observing. Lunch is taken at the farm as part of the experience. In the evening, dinner is accompanied by Joik singing, the traditional vocal tradition of the Sami people, with guests welcome to join in if they wish.

Handicrafts and a Museum Town

A guided cultural morning takes you through Jokkmokk's Sami museum and the town itself, stopping to meet local artisans and see their handmade work up close. The morning transfer takes you from Jokkmokk to Treehotel, a collection of architect-designed treehouse cabins in the forest outside Harads, about an hour from Luleå Airport. Check into your Biosphere room, elevated among the pines with large windows overlooking the Lule River valley. The afternoon is free to take in the surroundings at your own pace, with the forest sauna and hot tub available for a quiet moment before dinner is served at the Guesthouse.

Deep in the Forest

A short transfer brings you to Loggers Lodge, an exclusive-use property near the Arctic Circle reserved entirely for your stay, with no other guests on site. In the afternoon, a local forager leads a private nature walk through the surrounding forest, sharing stories and songs alongside a tasting of homemade products made from wild herbs and berries. After a private chef dinner, the evening continues with a Northern Lights Sleigh Ride, gliding through the quiet forest in a heated, covered sleigh with a chance to see the aurora overhead.

Rapids and Rest

The morning takes you to Storforsen Nature Reserve for a private guided tour of one of Europe's most powerful stretches of rapids, with lunch cooked over an open fire during the visit.
