First Night by the Lake

You'll land in Rovaniemi and collect your winter clothing before transferring to Sunday Morning Resort, a boutique property on the quiet shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi surrounded by old pine forest. Check into your Aamu Suite, with its two-level layout, glass wall facing the lake, and private sauna, and settle in before dinner at the on-site restaurant as part of your half board stay.

Silent Tracks and a Dark Sky

The morning heads out on a group electric snowmobile safari through the winter landscape around Pyhä. Electric snowmobiles move quietly through the forest, making the experience noticeably different from a conventional safari. In the evening, a group northern lights hunt sets off in search of clear skies, with the guide adjusting the route throughout the night. Dinner is included at the resort.

Before Midnight

The morning starts at a local husky farm for a 5km sled run through the surrounding forest. Back at the resort, the afternoon is free to enjoy the lakeside smoke sauna before the evening ahead. The resort's New Year's Eve dinner brings the family together for a festive celebration to close the year.

Deep in the Forest

The morning takes you to Lampivaara for a visit to the amethyst mine, reached by snowtrain through the winter forest and the only amethyst mine in Europe open to the public. You can try your hand at finding your own stones before heading back to the resort. The afternoon is free before a final dinner included with your stay.

One Last Stop

After breakfast and check-out, you'll transfer to Rovaniemi for a morning at Santa Park, visited with a private elf guide. The package includes a fast-track visit to Santa and a gift from Santa, with the full run of the park. Return your winter clothing before heading to Rovaniemi Airport for your flight home.
