Christmas Comes Early in Levi

Not everyone can be in Lapland on Christmas Day, and this itinerary is built around exactly that. Three nights in Levi in November or early December, designed for families who want the full Christmas experience before the season peaks. The program moves through the activities that give Finnish Lapland its festive reputation: a private northern lights hunt, a reindeer farm visit, a morning at The Elves Village with workshops and an elf certificate, a private meeting with Santa and Mrs. Claus in a 100-year-old riverside cabin, and a private husky safari to close the trip. The first two nights are spent at Design Hotel Levi in the heart of the village, with access to Water World included. The final night moves to Northern Lights Village for a glass-roofed cabin in a quiet forest. Designed for a family of one adult and two children, and easily adapted for slightly larger groups.

The Hunt Begins Tonight

You'll land at Kittilä Airport and collect your winter clothing before transferring to Design Hotel Levi. Check into your Deluxe Family Room and settle in. After dinner, a private northern lights hunt heads out from the hotel, driving beyond the village lights with a professional guide in search of clear skies, with a stop at a fireside along the way.

Elves, Reindeer, and a Secret Cabin

The morning takes the family to The Elves Village for a Christmas-themed workshop session including cookie baking, Christmas decoration crafting, and an elf certificate for each child. In the afternoon, head to a local reindeer farm for a private visit and short sleigh ride. The day ends with the most anticipated stop of the trip: a private evening at Santa's secret hideaway, a 100-year-old Lappish riverside cabin fifteen minutes from Levi. Santa and Mrs. Claus welcome the family inside for storytelling around the fire, a gingerbread workshop, and a personal moment with Santa for each child, with a gift and a cup of non-alcoholic glögi to finish. The afternoon is free between the reindeer farm and the evening program.

Huskies and a Glass Roof

The morning heads out on a private husky safari, with a visit to the farm and a 10km sled run through the surrounding forest. Hot drinks are included. In the afternoon, check out of Design Hotel Levi and transfer to Northern Lights Village, a glass-roofed cabin property in a quiet forest just outside the village. Check into your Aurora Cabin and spend the evening watching the sky from the warmth of your bed, with breakfast and dinner included at the on-site restaurant.

Departure

After a final breakfast at the resort, return your winter clothing and transfer to Kittilä Airport for your flight home.
